We're excited to invite all club members and interested newcomers to our upcoming rocket launch event. Here's everything you need to know to prepare for a day of fun, learning, and spectacular launches.

Directions from I-70: Exit at Mack, left turn @ Mack Rd and Highway 6&50, travel approx. 9 miles and turn right/ north @1.8 Rd, Follow until you see the launch site
Launch Site Altitude: 4914ft
Waiver Height: 12,000 AGL (above ground level)
Rocket weight restriction: NA
Rate of descent range: 12-25 ft/sec
Motor Size Limitation: Up to a O
Motor Restrictions: No sparkies

Special Information:
Safety Measures: We will only allow launches in a safe manner. This includes building materials. We encourage everyone to familiarize yourself with any information on the safe building and launching of rockets. Nar.org is a great resource along with General Rocketry Knowledge – Estes Rockets - Help Center
Facilities Available: There are no restrooms available on site. Closest hard structure bathroom is approximately 30 mins away in Fruita.
What to Bring: water(and lots of it), snacks, chairs, canopies, sunscreen, etc. also bring any launch equipment you may have
