Join Us for Our Next Rocket Launch! Every 3rd Sunday of the month.


We're excited to invite all club members and interested newcomers to our upcoming rocket launch event. Here's everything you need to know to prepare for a day of fun, learning, and spectacular launches.

Event Overview:

Where: 39°16'45"N 109°02'28"W 

Date: June 15, 2025 (CANCELLED), next launch June 29th
Time: CANCELLED
Expected Weather: Red Flag Warning
Launch cost for high power (non-member): $5 per day

Launch Details:
Directions from I-70: Exit at Mack, left turn @ Mack Rd and Highway 6&50, travel approx. 9 miles and turn right/ north @1.8 Rd, Follow until you see the launch site
Launch Site Altitude: 4914ft
Waiver Height: 12,000 AGL (above ground level)
Rocket weight restriction: NA
Rate of descent range: 12-25 ft/sec 
Motor Size Limitation: Up to a O
Motor Restrictions: No sparkies 
Special Flights: Saint Patrick's Day themed
Record Attempts/Competition: None right now

Special Information:

Safety Measures: We will only allow launches in a safe manner. This includes building materials. We encourage everyone to familiarize yourself with any information on the safe building and launching of rockets. Nar.org is a great resource along with

Facilities Available: There are no restrooms available on site. Closest hard structure bathroom is approximately 30 mins away in Fruita.  
What to Bring:
water(and lots of it), snacks, chairs, canopies, sunscreen, etc. also bring any launch equipment you may have
