Our first year is coming to an end and that means that we are going to have officer elections January 9th. All of the current officers are willing to stay on if they are re-elected, but if you are wanting to become an officer, please let us know. We hope to see you there.
We had a great first year! We are looking forward to next year and growing our club in membership, education, and certifications. We are also looking forward to starting our club project! Below are the launch totals by month and motor classification.
We had a great launch at a new location (thank you BLM). We had a total of 38 launches!
Motor totals: 1- 1/2A 7- B 12- C 3- D 5- E 11- F 3- G I don't know if I have met a rocket flyer who didn't start their rocket adventures with an Estes kit. Gleda is a huge part of the Estes story, and her influence was far reaching. Our condolences to the Estes family, she will be missed. Obituary for Gleda May Estes | Holt Family Funeral Home We had our first launch at the Mesa County Fairgrounds on Sunday, March 17th. Thank you to Mesa County for letting us use the fairgrounds, and thank you to all who attended. We had 44 launches in total! Better yet, everything landed safely within the predicted landing area. We are hoping to hold monthly launches, so keep checking back on the website for updates.
We have set a date for our first launch for March 17th at the Mesa County Fairgrounds. We will be setting up at 8:30 and first launch at 9am. We will go until everyone is done or 4pm. We will need volunteers to help with range safety, check-in, launch control, etc.Please remember to always be respectful when posting anything. Right now the reply set up is using Facebook.
